I'm going through a divorce and his lawyer wants me to pay 11,500 to buy him out of his house and get a mortgage. I have a low credit score and can't get a mortgage. I asked him for a quitclaim assumption and sign off the deed and mortgage to me but he is unsure and giving me the run around. He offered I do payments for the 11,500 then switch it for the full amount. We had a mediator and he stated in mediation that he would do payments then switch it. I feel like I'm not getting a fair case. I need a lawyer to help me get a fair case because I feel backed into a corner here. I did request the house when I filed. And requested full primary placement of our children. I feel like I don't have any say.
