Mission Statement: PHLP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing free legal services to people having trouble getting or keeping health coverage.
For more than two decades, we have worked tirelessly to advance the health care rights of our clients. We do this by:
Providing legal representation to clients to help them keep Medicaid coverage or services;
Engaging in community education and outreach to consumers, advocates, and health care providers; and
Advocating for health policies that best address our clients' needs and protect their legal rights.
Many attorneys that assist low income person(s), charge on a sliding fee schedule. For that reason we have added the latest federal poverty levels below so that you can see how much you may be charged if you use this attorney.
