Mission Statement: Legal Services Vermont works to:
empower individuals and families
help them earn knowledge and skills that will let them stand up for themselves, and
enable them to take power by controlling and managing their civil legal matters.
We try to provide service as soon as the problem arises. In every case we accept we will offer at least information, counsel and advice as the first level of assistance and continue providing help until the case is resolved.
Legal Services Vermont may offer representation in cases where the client is unable to represent him or herself. In addition, Legal Services Vermont may represent when the executive director determines that the issue is of significant importance to the client community.
Many attorneys that assist low income person(s), charge on a sliding fee schedule. For that reason we have added the latest federal poverty levels below so that you can see how much you may be charged if you use this attorney.
